Have the real experience and thrill of sailing along on a beautiful varnished wooden boat, painstakingly and lovingly built by craftsmen.

We have beautiful sailing boats and an old fashioned idea of customer service! Try us out!

Sailing Experience?

We mainly cater for mature students or parents with children wanting to learn to sail. No experience is necessary, so come and enjoy sailing lessons in Cornwall.

Mature Students

If you have always wanted to learn to sail but never got round to it, don’t delay. It’s not too late. We specialise in patiently teaching mature students. Sailing is a great joy, don’t miss out. It is something you go on enjoying long after you have given up many other activities. Our boats are comfortable and stable and beautifully built and we have many new sailors in their 50’s and 60’s who have learned to sail with us.

Confident Sailors and Boat Handlers

If you have had experience of sailing and boat handling over the years, just book a boat.

You may Be Somewhere Between the Two

You may have had some sailing but want to brush up your seamanship skills. That’s fine, let’s discuss the areas you want to improve on and we can go out with you until you are comfortable and confident. We have a two-hour starter package for up to two people with a boat and instructor for £75.00

Hire A Boat With A Skipper

You might just want to get out on the water so why not hire one of our classic boats with a skipper?

Boat Trips & Wildlife trips

As Barry is an experienced wildlife filmmaker, please see websites at www.calmerbynature.com & www.deerwatching.com, he is keen to take people out (non–sailors included) to show them the increasing array of wildlife around the estuaries. One photographer the other day took 250 photos over the day and a kingfisher and seal was seen before we left the St Just creek! Seals are often seen as are herons, shags, cormorants, little egrets, dolphins, and occasionally even otters are back.

Depending on the time of year one can see a large diversity of wading birds, including the curlew with its haunting call.
